Stevenson Middle School consists of grades fifth through eighth. We have approximately two hundred fifty students, averaging between 70-75 students in each grade. We have a full-time counselor, librarian, and nurse on staff. Our administration team consists of our principal as well as our very important school secretary. Our facilities were built in 2001 and due to the dedication of our custodial staff, it still looks brand-new even after all the years of use. We have two state-of-the-art science labs and utilize the AMSTI program which allows every student to participate in hands-on science experiments and opportunities. We have an abundance of technology for students and teachers. Each student has access to a chromebook in every class. Every teacher has a Smart TV to enhance learning. Google Classroom is utilized in order to help students better organize their studies as well as prepare them for life after middle school. Parents can sign up for the parent portal to keep track of how their child is doing more frequently than just the 4.5 weeks when progress reports/report cards are sent home. Every staff member has an email that parents or community members can contact us with in order to keep the collaboration between stakeholders. Our school's Junior Beta Club has competed at the state level, and we had students compete in the National Convention. While we know students are more than test scores, we would like to recognize that our students are increasing in state testing performance here at SMS. Our athletic teams are very competitive and represent us well. Our cheer program has been state champions many times. If you cannot already tell, we love our school! Our staff is confident that we offer students a great education, and we strive daily to make it even better.
